Here are some questions that have been asked by our customers.
Q. How long will my carpet or furniture take to dry?
A. Drying time depends on many conditions, including how dirty the fabric was, how much water was used, humidity etc. However, in most normal cases, carpets and soft furnishings should be dry within2-4 hours. If drying is a concern mention it to Smart Choice Carpet Cleaning, they will be able to advise on drying times and, if required, use some specialist techniques or low moisture methods to speed up the process.
Q. Do I have to move furniture?
A. In most cases Michael will be happy to move furniture, however there may be an additional charge for this service. It is important that any valuable items or furniture containing valuables are moved by the customer beforehand.
Q. How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
A. Most manufacturers recommend that carpets are professionally cleaned every 12-18 months. Carpets should be cleaned on a regular basis and before they become heavily soiled. Allowing soil to build up will significantly reduce the life of a carpet.
Q. What are the differences between the methods of cleaning and which method is best?
A. All cleaning methods are designed to produce good results if used by a qualified cleaner. Some methods use more water and others more chemical and scrubbing action. Smart Choice Carpet Cleaning has been trained on the use of all cleaning methods. Michael will be able to advise on the most appropriate method, or combination of methods, for your situation.
Q. Will my carpets still look good in a months time?
A. Today’s chemicals and detergents are manufactured to the highest standards for quality and effectiveness. We only use the very best detergents and conditioners that not only make your fabrics and carpets look great but keep them looking good longer because of inbuilt fabric protectors designed to stop resoiling and stains
Q. I have children/pets, will they be affected by cleaning processes/chemicals?
A. 98% of todays cleaning agents are enviromentally safe and are designed to be used in peoples premises without any undue concern however it is still best to stay off the carpet of fabric until dry if possible just because of issues with moisture allowing slippage on tiles ect.
Q. Will all the stains come out?
A. No guarantee can be made that any particular stain will be removed. Some stains permanently damage the carpet fibres and no amount of specialist cleaning will reverse this but i have received advanced training for spot and stain removal and will be able to deal with most problems. If you have a stain you are concerned about, discuss it with a Michael beforehand and he will be happy to advise.
